Welcome to CowSki, where we believe that skincare should be simple, natural and most importantly, effective.
Our journey began with two best friends who shared a passion for holistic living and a deep appreciation for the benefits of traditional, natural ingredients.
Our story
We’ve both always loved exploring ways to live a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle. While searching for skincare solutions that aligned with our values, we struggled to find products that were truly natural and free from harsh chemicals.
That’s when Elise discovered tallow, a nourishing, vitamin-rich ingredient that has been used for centuries to heal and protect the skin. There was some scepticism at first (see screenshot below!) but now they're both mooing about the benefits of tallow skincare.
Inspired by its transformative properties, we decided to create our own line of tallow-based skincare, crafted with care and love. What started as a kitchen experiment soon blossomed into a small business, as friends and family quickly became our first loyal customers.

How it started
Elise originally sent a message in summer 2024 excited about purchasing some organic tallow to experiment with making skin cream.
Laura (a long-time vegetarian) had some reservations at first, but is now the biggest fan of tallow, a valuable byproduct of the meat industry.
How it's going
After almost a year spent sourcing ethical, organic ingredients, developing and refining a balm we both love, we are now pleased to share CowSki with the world.
